Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
EASY pumpkin spice frappuccino with coffee you can make right at home with a few ingredients. good and simple to make, like our homemade peppermint frappuccino. Great Starbucks copycat recipe.

We will admit, we are a Frozen Coffee snob! Whether it's hot or cold we desire we want something fruffy (is that a word), sweet, and when it comes around to the holiday season we want everything pumpkin!! (affiliate links present)
We are frugal by nature and although we would love to spend $6 a day and not think twice about it to get our solid coffee drink. We can't bring myself to do it. SOoooooo, we figured out how to make an easy pumpkin spice frappuccino recipe right at home.
Homemade Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
We seriously can't tell you how easy and good this Starbucks copycat frappuccino drink is (we're drinking one right now as we speak). We will tell you the basics and a few alternatives if you don't have something at home (like an espresso machine), then you can make your own pumpkin spice frappuccino at home too.
Does a pumpkin spice Frappuccino have coffee in it?
Yes it does, and our recipe from scratch below does too. If you left it out it would have a more muted flavor and not taste like what you'd get at your favorite coffee house, but still good. We'd add more milk to compensate for the liquid. For kids you can leave out entirely or use a decaf version so you would still get the flavor but would be caffeine free.
Of course the key to this make your own pumpkin spice frappuccino recipe is……the pumpkin. You will want to head to the store to get a container of International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer in the back refrigerated part of the store where they keep the milk.
They only happened to have the fat & sugar free version this time, but they also a “regular” version as well (either one works great). Typically you will find this and other holiday flavors appear in mid September so keep your eyes open.
The other items you will need will be a can of whipped cream (right next to the creamers), a bit of sugar, and either some coffee beans to use in your espresso maker or some strong coffee/k-cups to make in the coffee device you have at home (remember Pynmi is flexible right).
Ingredient Tips
- Coffee or espresso will give you a deeper flavor, you want this to be cold to start with ideally
- Coffee creamer of your choice, you can use any flavor and/or a sugar-free / dairy free variety. OR make our Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer first.
- Ice cubes to blend into that milkshake like consistency. Better yet, brew a pot of Joe, cool, and pour into ice cube trays to freeze and use those!!
- Milk or lactose free variety of dairy product, cashew would be the creamiest. More or less depending on how thick you want it to be
- Sugarmore or less depending on your tastebud preferences
If you want to add a bit more pumpkin spice on the top pick up a small container of it in the baking section where you would find the cinnamon etc…
This recipe makes enough to fill a 16 oz. jar or cup, so if you want to make an entire pitcher full adjust the recipe as such. We like added creaminess like our Dalgona whipped coffee has so we load it on.
What to serve this with
If you are hosting a brunch, way to go, we have a few ideas to make your table pretty and good. You can make our braided bread recipe with cinnamon that goes well and makes a statement. And for a easy treat, try our Pumpkin Bundt Cake with Cake Mix with it too.
Kitchen questions
Can you get a pumpkin spice frappe without coffee?Yes you can ask for no coffee if you prefer. If made homemade like we did here you can leave that out and use more milk or use decaffeinated so that no caffeine is added into the drink.
Do you need a blender to make a Frappuccino at home?Yes. if you want to make this popular coffee drink into the texture at Starbucks you need a blender to do so. If you mixed ingredients with the whole ice cubes you would get a similar flavor but it would taste more like an iced coffee instead.
